KEEP AND BEAR, LLC was formed as a Florida Limited Liability Company in March of 2014. Both NRA Certified and Non-Affiliated classes are offered.

Keep and Bear

These two terms are near the end of the Second Amendment which states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This individual right (D.C. v. Heller) is acknowledged in the Bill of Rights but it is not unrestricted (D.C. v. Heller). The reason for forming Keep and Bear is to help make Citizens who are firearms owners, responsible firearms owners. Education and Training in the responsibilities and actions of firearms owners are necessary to stave off the erosion of this right. They are also essential in raising the awareness of gun owners to prevent tragedies caused by carelessness.

This web site was launched in July 2014. keepandbear.us was selected as the domain because the .com had been parked by another entity. The .us designation is more appropriate since the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is unique to the United States. This .us site is not affiliated with the .com site that launched in 2015 and expired in 2019.

The logo and banner side bars use symbology in adapting the meaning of the verb keep to a noun that is a place of last refuge represented by some kind of doorway or entrance. It could also be represented by the chess piece refered to as the rook or castle.
The verb bear is represented by the animal noun in a recognizable form. It may also be represented by a depiction of bear, as to carry, hold, or posses.

There are five distinct categories of content and they are grouped as follows:

Training - Training (courses offered and suggestions for maintianing your skills)

Instructor

Greg Poole

Greg began firearms instruction in 2010. He became an NRA Certified Instructor in 2014. He is certified by the NRA to teach their Basic Pistol and Basic Personal Protection In The Home courses.
Greg also offers a range course to help new shooters gain additional experience after an NRA course. This session give new shooters a chance to shoot a variety of centerfire handguns that will help them develop and understand their preferences before they make a purchase.

Greg is not going to overwhelm you with his military or law enforcement background (he has neither). He does have experience teaching technical subjects and writing training materials during his 30+ years in Medical, Engineering, and Energy private sectors.
